I don't know if any of you remember me mentioning during one of my posts, about a girl called Anjo who had been in a band? She played one of her songs on her phone one PE lesson and I knew that they would become a massive success.
Today they performed live on Toasted TV! :)
To most people, this probably isn't very interesting or anything special at all.. but it's kinda really cool that I know someone who is may well become a celebrity. Someone I go to school with!
Haha well, let's talk more about them now shall we?
Lipsmack is an all girl rockband situated in Adelaide, influenced by the musical styles of the 70's & 80's rock & grunge. Sundy on guitar and vocals, Ange on keyboard and backup vocals, Shivon on bass and backup vocals and Anjo on the drums.
You should check out their songs below. The first one called "Dangerous" and the second called "What's Your Name" both performed at their first ever gig at House Of Sap. Hope you enjoyoyoy!
I'm not just loving these girls because they're locals and that I know them, but the fact that they found a goal to work towards and are showing such effort and doing so well.. inspires me. You don't need to be someone special with a talent, you just gotta do what you love doing. Find a purpose and work towards achieving it. Anything can be done by anyone.
